About Me

Hey there! My name is Elmir Mukhtarov. I was born and raised in Northern Azerbaijani town of Gakh before moving to Baku for continuing my studies. At the moment I am 25 years old. I got my B.A. degree from Baku Engineering University (formerly known as Qafqaz university) and worked at Center for Economic and Social Development (CESD) for three years. At the moment I am studying Master of Public Affairs (with an economic concentration) at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA).

I have profound interest in economics, in particular when it comes to the role of the government. For that reason, creating a blog was on my mind for a while and I finally set up this personal blog to share my thoughts on a number of domestic and international economic, political, as well as social issues. Please be noted that I am not an expert on these topics and writings only reflect my subjective opinions on the matter.

Apart from my studies, I enjoy Astrophotography, Ice Hockey, Retro Rock, and Drumming.
